Kayla Gregg is saying goodbye to the Kelly Library to join the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Kayla, who is Scheduling and Operations Lead Hand at the Loans Desk, is one reason the ebb and flow of materials to and from the library has continued so smoothly and cheerfully. Since arriving at St. Mike’s in 2017, she has endeared herself to technicians, librarians, student assistants, and patrons with her good humour, professionalism, hard work — and love of animals.
Adept with a camera, and eager for new projects, Kayla helped set up the library’s Popular Reading Collection, assisted with library promotion on social media, took a lead role in the ground floor food market, and trained technicians, student clerks, and student assistants in Loans Desk procedures. At the height of the pandemic, she also dedicated regular hours to helping students at the Registrar’s Office. Kayla will be dearly missed. But she’s not going far! The OISE Library is just a few blocks away on Bloor Street. Her last day at St. Mike’s is Monday September 26th.
