Donations
We can no longer accept donations for the St. Michael’s College 2025 book sale.
We will open donation opportunities in November 2025 for the 2026 sale.
In the meantime you may consider donating your books to the Toronto Public Library. More information on their sales is available on the Toronto Public Library website.
Volunteers
And as we begin preparing for this coming year’s book sale, we are looking for volunteers to join our team. We would love to have you join us!
The sale relies on the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm of our treasured volunteers. Moreover, it’s a major undertaking, as before books ever make it onto the sale tables and into the hands of sale attendees, they’ve passed through several steps: donors drop off a supply of books throughout the year; volunteer sorters initially determine how books should be classified; books are then sorted a second time, more exactingly, to increase the books’ marketability and the ease with which sale attendees can find that perfect tome on a niche subject. Volunteers are also crucial to the success of sale days, during which they can be found organizing and re-stocking tables, checking-in book bags, helping shoppers find books, monitoring traffic flow, and performing all the tasks–big and small–which allow for the sale’s continued success.
If coming to campus in September to participate in a rewarding volunteer initiative sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love for you to be a part of our team. To sign up, please complete our volunteer registration form.
Be sure to check off the box under the word “Email” and include your full name before proceeding to “Next.” (Providing a phone number is optional.)
Whether you’ll be joining us for the first time, or we’ll be welcoming back a familiar face, volunteering for the sale offers you the chance to return to campus to support a wonderful cause. We hope you’ll join us!
